"...This animation begins with an image that Carmel Bird sends to me when I am living in Tasmania in 2002. She describes the figure as '...a ghostly statue of a girl' she had photographed near Turo Park in Barcelona. My prints of her image and words from our conversation become part of the Flying Carpet border-crossing project that travels the world to share stories told by women."
